Counselling in Midlothian, Edinburgh & Online

At different times of our lives we can find ourselves stuck, struggling to navigate certain experiences or dealing with difficult thoughts and feelings.

I’m here to help and we can find ways forward that make sense to you and support you to feel better & strong in your self again.

Hi, I’m Caroline

I'm an MBACP registered counsellor based in Midlothian, Scotland.

I work with people of all backgrounds, genders and neurodiversity. We are all different and helping you to be fully you is a big part of what I'm here for. I’m here to listen without judgement or assumption and to give you a steadying space during challenging times. All enquiries are welcome.

I have a particular specialism in working with food, body and exercise related difficulties, including eating disorders. I know personally what it is like to live with these challenges, and also to fully overcome and be free of them. I can help you navigate challenging thoughts, behaviours, and feelings about food and your body to discover a place where you feel at ease in your skin and enjoy eating without anxiety or guilt.

Ways I Can Help You

Individualised therapy sessions that support you at your pace and in ways that make sense to you. These can be in-person, online, or outdoors.

I run a variety of group sessions throughout the year that support you to form an easier relationship with food, movement & how you view your body.

I have specialised training (and lots of experience!) to help you with a difficult relationship with food, body-image challenges, exercise dependency or recovery from an eating disorder.

KT, ONLINE

“Thank you for making it so easy and comfortable for me to talk about how I am feeling about my body. I honestly didn't imagine getting to that point, never mind beginning to think that I could actually find a way to like my body. I'm feeling hopeful about moving forward from here. ”

TP, EDINBURGH

“From our first session I felt like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders. I finally felt understood and listened to. You got me and I can't tell you what a difference that in itself made to how I was feeling.”

GM, ONLINE

“You have helped me so much. Thank you. You have not only made an impact on my life but on my husband and daughter's too  - for the better. ”

Professional Events & CPD

I am an experienced educator on issues surrounding eating disorders, body image issues & exercise dependency. Neurodivergence can have a significant interplay with these issues so its links are referred to and integrated through all my presentations and training.

I offer various training and education events. These range from 1-2 hour recorded awareness sessions for therapists / coaches & trainers, 2-3 hour specific CPD events through to 1 day specialised training courses.
